
BIOGRAPHY
Tyler Rice is an audio engineer / producer based out of Chicago IL. He is currently on staff at one of Chicago’s most popular jazz studios, Transient Sound, where he is an engineer and assistant. Tyler is proficient in Pro Tools and Ableton as well as multiple editing and mixing softwares. Over the years, Tyler has worked with numerous genres of music such as: pop, rock, jazz, hip hop and fusion. Tyler has experience tracking, mixing, producing, composing and assisting with artists such as Astro Samurai, Dassit, PERL, Naked Raygun, Kurt Elling, Brian Blade, Blood People, and The Locals.
Tyler went to Columbia College Chicago in 2012 to study audio arts and acoustics. Before graduating in 2016, he was an intern at Wall to Wall. During college, he composed and produced a 7 song EP for his project, LAIK, called “With Love.” Since then, his group has been playing local Chicago shows with bands such as New Politics, Jakubi and Morgan Saint. They are currently working on an album at Transient Sound.
